Here at The Big Issue Shop we are proud to stock Jerry, Give Me Tap and Sip ‘O’ Snack. Plastic waste is a major issue facing the enviroment. Only 20% of plastic bottles get recycled and over 50 billion plastic bottles go to waste every year. Yet, Britain has some of the cleanest water in the world. All these social enterprises aim to lessen the impact of plastic by creating stylish re-usable bottles.

Jerry care about decreasing plastic bottle pollution, getting clean water to everyone and furthermore, keeping you in good health. A million single use plastic water bottles are bought around the world every minute and Jerry believes we need to change this environmental crisis together. All profits from the sale of Jerry’s beautiful reusable water bottles go to making clean water projects in India and Tanzania.

GiveMeTap provides 5 years worth of drinking water for someone in Africa. How this is works is that for every bottle sold, GiveMeTap donates directly to their NGO partners in Africa to install pumps in rural communities. So far GiveMeTap has raised £114k to fund water pumps with an estimated 23,363 people with clean water for life!

Sip ‘O’ Snack is a bottle with a distinctive screw-off snack container. Each purchase from their innovative range results in a donation to Young Enterprise which provides millions of young people around the UK with opportunities, platforms and skills.
